Saint Peter in Chains Cathedral opens its “Great Music in a Great Space” series with the Choir of Westminster Abbey, London, England. The famed choir of 30 boys and 12 professional adult singers will present a program of English choral masterworks. Tickets are $38 in advance, $40 at the door. Music director Mark Gibson and members of CCM's orchestral conducting studio lead the Philharmonia Orchestra in music with a creature connection a la Halloween, including Johann Strauss' Overture to  "Die Fledermaus," Rossini's Overture to "La gazza ladra," Saint-Saens' "Carnival of the Dead Animals," Rimsky-Korsakov's "Fright of the Bumble Bee" and Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolfman."
