Note about the Little Sisters of the Poor:

The Little Sisters of the Poor is a Roman Catholic religious order dedicated to serving the elderly poor.  The order was founded in 1839 in Brittany, France by Jeanne Jugan, who took an elderly blind woman from the street into her home and placed her in her own bed.  Thereafter, Sister Jugan slept in the attic, but her calling grew.  There are more than 3,000 Little Sisters providing homes for the elderly poor in over 32 countries, with 32 homes in the United States.

The Little Sisters of the Poor have served the Greater Cincinnati area since 1868.  St. Paul’s Archbishop Leibold Home for the Aged in Clifton cares for 100 elderly men and women in need.
