Tenor Marco Panuccio presents his Emmy-nominated production “O Holy Night: An Evening of Holiday Song.” This year’s event features repertoire from Bach to contemporary music, including three new settings of “Ave Maria” (by Saint-Saens, Leoncavallo and Jakub Kowalewski), Italian carol “Tu scendi dale stelle” and “O Holy Night.” Hear also Gerald Finzi’s Op. 10 Eclogue for piano and strings. Based on a service offered at King s College in Cambridge, England since 1918, this festival of lessons and carols weaves together scripture and song, moving from prophecy to fulfillment, to tell the story of the birth of Jesus.
