California, Here We Come: Paavo Järvi's Sixth Season in Cincinnati

Paavo Järvi became music director of the Frankfurt Radio Orchestra (Hessische Rundfunk Sinfonie Orchester) in November, 2006 in addition to continuing as music director of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. The event was celebrated in Frankfurt with a giant Paavo installation on a downtown Frankfurt department store.

Meanwhile, back in Cincinnati . . . The 2006-07 season brought a spring tour to California and another world premiere by New York composer Charles Coleman, "Deep Woods," in May. Coleman's "Streetscape" was performed on Järvi's inaugural concert as CSO music director in September, 2001.
