Cincinnati Opera and the opera department at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music present a workshop performance of the new American opera, "Great Scott," by Jake Heggie and Terrence McNally (about a city with a struggling opera company and a thriving football team). Created in 2011 to foster the development of new American operas, Opera Fusion: New Works gives composers/librettists the opportunity to workshop an opera during a 10-day residency in Cincinnati  utilizing the personnel and facilities of both  Cincinnati Opera and CCM Opera.
