Cincinnati Opera's 2015 summer festival will boast a world premiere, Ricky Ian Gordon's "Morning Star," a new production of Puccini's "Turandot," and returning after a long absence, will be Verdi's "Il Trovatore" and Donizetti's "Don Pasquale." Stars on the roster include Norah Amsellem, Julianna Di Giacomo, Eglise Gutierrez, Twyla Robinson, Marcy Stonikas, Burak Bilgili, Stuart Neill, Ji-Min Park, Stephen Powell, Morris Robinson, Morgan Smith and Russell Thomas.

"Opera Fusion: New Works," a collaboration between Cincinnati Opera and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, designed to foster the creation of new American opera, will focus on "Great Scott" by Jake Heggie and Terrence McNally. The workshop,  utilizing the talent, resources and facilities of both Cincinnati Opera and CCM, will take place Nov. 17-25 and will culminate in a free public reading of the work Nov. 25 at Memorial Hall.

The Mainstage Season at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music comprises opera, musical theater and drama, with two productions by each department. If you loved the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's Lumenocity 2013 and haven't been able to get tickets for its repeat Aug. 1-3 in Washington Park, the CSO has expanded access. Lumenocity 2014 will now be available live on radio, television, remote simulcast and webcast. Tickets for the dress rehearsal are being issued, as well as extra tickets for the live performances in Washington Park.
